Next Thursday, 24th March, at 8:00 p.m., the Filharmonia Digital Hall premieres the wonderful Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 performed by Javier Perianes, one of the most internationally renowned artists of these years. We will complete the concert with one of the most evocative symphonies of romanticism, the ‘Italian’ by Mendelssohn under the baton of Tomàs Grau.

The Piano Concerto No. 21 occupies an eminent place in the list of Mozart’s works. Its famous second movement was considered by the French composer Olivier Messiaen as: “one of Mozart’s most beautiful melodies and perhaps even one of the most beautiful in all music”.

The “Italian” Symphony was a huge success from the day of its opening, largely due to the grace and beauty of the first movement, the sweet ballad of the second, and the Neapolitan tarantella that closes the work.
